Because the taco wasn’t good
Today, instead of talking about all the health issues I experienced in the past, I rather want to focus on some one very important topic: and this is trusting yourself.
No one can feel or experience what you do in your own body mind soul the same way that you can. so it is really really important to trust what you experience. An important person in my healing process one said to me if the tummy hurts, it is because the taco wasn’t good. And to know this is already really redeeming because what you experience is real and no one can take that away from you, but it also means that what you experience, as it's real, allows you to take care of yourself and not ignore or neglect it. It means that you can act on it without needing any outside approval or necessarily an outside diagnosis. This is really really important to remember, because it's so easy that when you are in the search for health and you don't have definite direct answers to get lost, confused, doubt yourself and become insecure and this has been a huge part in my healing journey and where my health journey actually has impacted the person I am and how people interact with me. And if you know that, if you realize that yourself, that your health journey had an impact on how you interact with the outside, this can be very saddening and painful so it's really important - and I keep saying really important many times now - but it is very important to be in charge and take care of yourself. A diagnosis process can be really long and difficult and I have a feeling that many people have this experience, the struggle, and then they start to doubt themselves whether they actually experience what they do. Often people start to question themself, whether it's just in their mind, maybe it's just stress, maybe they're doing something wrong. They don’t trust how they feel for example, doubt their diet, doubt their lifestyle. Become really hard on themselves. There are so many different things that are in doubt, once you feel alone and without definite answers. So again, if the tummy hurts, it's just very simple: because the taco wasn’t good. So you can trust your tummy. It tells you if it's hurting and then whatever it is, there is something that is producing that pain.
Trusting yourself and what you experience is not for everyone the easiest thing to do and for many people it is something that they actually have to learn and practice to keep it. I practice this a lot and I try to pass on or give or teach, however you like to call it, to people in my classes in my workshops and on my retreats by actually just first starting to notice and to be aware of what you're experiencing. Once you actually realize what is happening and notice that you can see what is there and that it exists so that your experience is real that it is there and from there you can choose how to act on it. So if you like to follow me on this just shortly get comfortable can be sitting standing wherever you are close your eyes and just try to soften a little bit. relax. And from here just focus on your breathing. See what it does for you maybe if you stay soft you can actually feel it moving you. Feel your chest your upper body expanding on your inhale and softening on your exhale. And this can become big or small however you prefer, the breathing, the moving. And you can use this as a tool. A tool to become more aware and notice things in your body that you feel. And just noticing them makes you honor them that they are real that they exist whatever your experience. there is no judgment on it. So I'm not talking about looking for pain or blocking for attention or looking for whatever it is I'm just talking about searching and noticing. And it's very interesting to experience how real it is so now if you put it on the level of health and healing this can be a really nice tool for example in the experience of anxiety where does your anxiety come from. Is it physical does it have a physical origin. maybe it is emotional you can feel it somewhere else in your heart. maybe it is mental all those thoughts circulating in your head. If it is physical you will feel it in your body when you feel that there is maybe a disconnect in your mind and a disconnect with your heart but it's just your body is so agitated or irritable.
This is really mind blowing when you start to see where something can come from. It helps you so much on your healing process to figure out not necessarily why you feel how you feel, but maybe where it comes from and how to deal with it better, because if it's physical, maybe you just need sleep or maybe you need some good movement. maybe you need warmth. Or maybe how about a break, going for a rest or drinking water. Maybe it is something much deeper. It could also be an underlying disease or imbalance. So just being aware of what you experience and realizing that it exists that it is real not only helps you a lot but also, it's very calming and takes away all the doubt and anxiety or insecurity that might come with being unsure or feeling alone on this path. And again, I have to repeat: if the tummy hurts it's because the Taco wasn't good.
So, keep believing in yourself and keep taking care of yourself.
